ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT
School Year 2011 – 2012
INTRODUCTION
To be “Schools of Excellence” is the prime goal of San Nicolas Elementary School. In sustaining quality education in our school, different stakeholders joined hand in hand together to achieve our objective. This Report shows the school accomplishments through the exerted efforts of SGC, parents, teachers, pupils, LGU’s, NGO’s and community members.
I. PUPILS DEVELOPMENT
Academic & Non-academic
C. English/Filipino
• Project CARE (Collaborative Approach for Reading Enhancement)
o Slow reader or non-reader are guided by their partner peer tutor during their 12:30 reading habit school program.
o Grade V to VI pupils are required to submit book report of the stories and book read.
o No read no pass for grade I- every February of the year the school conducts individual oral reading test for grade I
o Extend time up to 5:30 for review in preparation for the NAT
o Books and other reading materials are lent to pupils for summer vacation reading
· Conducted PHIL IRI (Pre and post test)
B. Mathematics
· Conducted Remedial Classes and Math Peer tutoring to slow learners every Monday- slow learners are given extra activity after class hours.
· Participated in MTAP Saturday class
· Organized Chess Club and conducted chess clinic during break time to develop pupils’ critical thinking and problem solving capabilities
C. Science
· Organized Environmental Science Club
· Conducted Symposium on Environmental Issues and earthquake drill
B. Hekasi/MAKABAYAN
· Conducted tree planting
· Organized SPG and other functional pupil organizations and clubs
· Conducted program during “Linggo ng Wika”
· BSP/BSP backyard camping and joined the district encampment
· Movie analysis on life of our heroes and other important event in Philippine history
· Conducted hand-on cooking and cooking contest in EPP
· Participated in Gulayan sa Paaralan Project
E. Health and Physical Education
· Trained and participated in the palaro
· Conducts feeding program once a month for below normal pupils.
· Implemented Gulayan sa Paaralan Program Planted vegetables around the campus and use it for feeding program.
· Purchased medicine from H.E. Share
A. Values Development
· Value of Honesty – pupils return things found at the SPG Office and recorded in the lost and found log book.
· Value of Patriotism – Pupils assist in the daily flag ceremony by putting stop sign at the street in front of the school.
· Value of cleanliness, cooperation and being responsible
o Pupils clean their own area inside and outside the campus before the time
o Late comers are being listed by the SPG Officers after which they are obliged
to pick up the pieces of plastics or papers around the campus before they can report to their classroom.
· Value of Obedience and discipline - Ring bell every 5:00 pm(sign that all the pupils are required to go out of the campus)
F. RELIGION
• Once a week religion (conducted by volunteer catechists)
• Conducted first communion of grade VI pupils

II. STAFF DEVELOPMENT
· Demonstration lesson using the prepared instructional materials during Regional Monitoring on Multigrade Instruction together with Semeo Innotech
· Monthly monitoring and observation of teachers.
· Let teachers attend trainings and seminars in the different level
· Encourage teachers to enroll in graduate schools

o Division Training in Maximizing Teachers’ Competencies in Multigrade Instruction in Filipino, Hekasi, EPP and MSEP (December 3-4, 2011)
o District Semestral Break In-Service Workshop on Different Subjects (October 26-28, 2011)
o District Teacher’s Training on Teaching Philippine History and Heritage (September 23, 2011)
o Division Training Workshop on the Situational Application of Mother Tongue Based Multilingual Education in Mathematics (May 3-5, 2011)
III. PHYSICAL FACILITIES DEVELOPMENT
· Painted all outside part of the school building
· Painted inside wall of the classrooms
· Constructed school water system
· Reconstructed the old school stage
IV. PARENTS
· Parents Services/cooperation and school involvement are being recognized during recognition day
· Conducted meetings with PTA and all stakeholders to report school status (academic, financial, school facilities and other programs and projects)
· Conducted homeroom PTA meetings quarterly to report pupils performance in every grade level.
· Increased Parents participation rate on school programs and activities.
V. COMMUNITY
· Attended Barangay Session
· Participated in the Clean and Green Program of the Barangay where pupils joined in the clean-up drive.
· Participated in the Municipal sponsored Fun Run
· Participated in ChildFund Philippines seminars and other programs
